Job Summary:
We are seeking qualified and motivated individuals to join our mosquito abatement team. The primary responsibility of this role is to control mosquito populations through surveillance, prevention, and treatment efforts. The ideal candidate will have experience in pest control, environmental science, or public health, with a strong commitment to outdoor work and public safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct field inspections and surveys to identify mosquito breeding sites.
  • Apply appropriate control measures, including larvicides and adulticides, in compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain and calibrate equipment used for mosquito control applications.
  • Educate the public on mosquito prevention strategies and respond to citizen inquiries.
  • Keep accurate records of treatment activities and report findings to supervisors.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and regulatory compliance requirements.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Environmental Science, or a related field preferred).
  • Previous experience in mosquito abatement, pest control, or vector control is a plus.
  • Knowledge of mosquito biology, surveillance techniques, and control methods.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and terrain.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to obtain necessary certifications for pesticide application if required.
  • ATV experience

Work Schedule:

  • Seasonal night-time and full-time positions available.
  • Work will include early mornings and/or evenings. 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable walking in uneven terrain, marshy areas, and standing water.
  • Ability to work in hot and humid environments.
